Departure from the “Čair” hall in Niš (by the ticket office) at 14:00. Travel through Serbia and Montenegro with stops for rest and border formalities. Arrival in Žabljak, located at an altitude of 1450 m, in the heart of Durmitor National Park. Accommodation in pension-style apartments. Dinner. Overnight stay.

After breakfast, we transfer to the Black Lake (Crno Jezero), where our hiking tour begins. The trail leads us along the picturesque Mlinski Stream, through dense coniferous forest, all the way to Inđini Dolovi. From there, we continue via Lokvice and the Scorched Slabs (Sagorele ploče, 2,214 m) toward the final goal—the imposing summit of Minin Bogaz (2,387 m). This peak, also known as the “Ama Dablam of Durmitor,” stands out with its slender silhouette and sharp, needle-like summit, reminiscent of the Alps. Its wild beauty and challenging terrain make it one of the most attractive ascents, especially in the winter months. The peak was named after a hunter named Mina, who used to hide out on this mountain. From the town of Žabljak, Minin Bogaz, together with Bobotov Kuk (2,523 m), creates a spectacular alpine landscape. The total trail length is approximately 17 km, with an elevation gain of about 1,100 meters. Transfer to accommodation. Dinner. Overnight stay.

After breakfast, we transfer to Motički Gaj, where we begin our ascent to one of Durmitor’s most famous peaks—Savin Kuk (2,313 m). Alongside Bobotov Kuk and Međed, it is one of the mountain’s most recognizable summits. The trail to the top was built in the early 20th century so that King Nikola I of Montenegro could climb it. In addition to its historical significance, Savin Kuk also draws visitors because of the legend of Savina Voda (2,212 m), a spring believed to have healing properties. The ascent takes about 3 hours and is not technically demanding. Upon reaching the summit, we take in the views and enjoy a short break before returning along the same trail. Once back in Žabljak, we’ll have lunch, pack our gear, and prepare for the journey back to Serbia. Arrival is expected in the late evening hours. End of program.

Sturdy hiking boots, a lightweight jacket with a hood (preferably waterproof), a fleece or hoodie, a flashlight or headlamp, backup clothes, sunglasses, a hat, and sunscreen. You may also bring sweets, snacks, refreshing drinks, and a bottle of water. Pack everything in a small hiking backpack. All participants will receive a detailed list of required hiking gear in advance, before the tour.

Our offer includes attractive mountain huts/camps/private households at the foot of the massif. The exact location of accommodation depends on the availability of capacities at the given moment. The specific name of the accommodation will be known when the group is formed, or at the latest, 5 days before the start of the trip.

A 50% advance payment of the total arrangement price is required at the time of booking. The remaining amount must be paid no later than 20 days before the start of the trip (with the option of installment payments). This program is based on a minimum of 7 registered participants. In case of changes in the monetary market (or the market of goods and services) or an insufficient number of registered participants, the tour organizer reserves the right to adjust prices, modify the program, or cancel the trip no later than 5 days before the scheduled departure.

For departure from Belgrade, an additional payment of 30 euros per person in dinar equivalent is necessary. Transportation from Belgrade is organized for a group of at least 7 passengers. The organizer reserves the right, in case of unforeseen circumstances, to change the itinerary, no later than two days before the start of the trip.

Nature Travel Office is insured by an insurance policy against responsibility for travel agencies in case of insolvency and liability in case of damage to the traveller, number 30000058078, by the insurer MILENIJUM OSIGURANJE ADO Belgrade. The policy is valid from April 01, 2026 to April 01, 2027.
