This fascinating country occupies the southern part of Europe and, due to its incredible wild nature, represents a gem of the Balkan Peninsula.

Despite its relatively small area, nature has “relentlessly” rewarded it with all sorts of beauties, making it interesting to everyone, especially to nature lovers, which makes it a true tourist delight.

The natural beauties of Montenegro, the beauty of its mountains, rivers, canyons, lakes, forests, cities, and the Adriatic coastline, make it unique and exceptional. Despite its small size, it is said that it could be toured in a week, but if its hills were “flattened,” it would be the largest country in the world!

And one more thing – this is the only country in the world that could be declared a nature reserve under UNESCO protection due to its natural beauty. For now, this has been done for 50% of its territory!

Tour plan:

Departure from the “Čair” hall in Niš (by the ticket office) at 2 p.m. Travel through Serbia and Montenegro with stops for rest and border formalities. Arrival in Žabljak, located at an altitude of 1450 m, in the heart of Durmitor National Park. Accommodation in pension-style apartments. Dinner. Overnight stay.

Breakfast. Transfer to the starting point at Black Lake, from where the marked trail to Small and Big Međed begins. The ascent to these two giants of Durmitor will take us through Struga (1920 m), which we reach by mostly walking through the forest. From Struga to Small Međed (2223 m), the terrain becomes steeper, and thus the ascent becomes more exposed, requiring maximum caution. Upon reaching the summit of Small Međed, we begin the ridge tour leading us to Big Međed (2287 m). Although the trail is secured with pegs and ropes, it is considered the most dangerous marked trail in the entire Durmitor massif. Upon reaching the Northern Peak at 2287 m, the highest peak of Medved, we enjoy a unique view in all directions. After a short break at the summit, we return via a circular trail over the Great Traverse to Black Lake. Transfer to accommodation. Dinner. Overnight stay.
