For an unimaginably long time, nature has been shaping Mount Beljanica and its rolling slopes, the Resava River with its steep canyons, the Resava Cave and dozens of others, springs and waterfalls, endless forests and meadows. Enchanted by this fairytale landscape, Despot Stefan Lazarević built his endowment here – the Manasija Monastery, founded the Resava School, and penned the verses of the poem “Slovo ljubve” (The Word of Love). Thus, both nature and people have created – the very best they could. Inspired, and with great love, so that we may marvel at it today. Welcome to Beljanica, a realm of the most lavish nature!
Tour plan:
Departure from Belgrade from a previously agreed meeting point at 07:30 a.m. Drive along the highway to Ćuprija, then continue into the very heart of the Resava region. Our first stop is Ravanica Monastery, a Serbian medieval monastery built between 1375 and 1377. Ravanica served as a spiritual, cultural, artistic, and literary center of Serbia during that time. After visiting the monastery, the journey continues to the Resava Cave, the most famous and most visited cave in Serbia. The total length of its passages is 4.5 km, with an 800-meter-long path arranged for visitors. In the immediate vicinity of the cave is the Lisine Waterfall, one of the most well-known waterfalls in Serbia. With its spring, the Vrelo River, this natural site is protected as a monument of exceptional importance. Lunch break. After lunch, we visit Manasija Monastery, one of the most important monuments of medieval Serbian culture, built between 1407 and 1418. Following the tour, we head back to Belgrade. Arrival in the evening hours. End of the program.

Sneakers or comfortable shoes, a hooded waterproof parka, sweatshirt, sunglasses, a cap, suntan cream. It is also recommended to take candy bars, nibbles, refreshing beverages and water. Put everything into a small backpack.
This program is based on at least 2 applied people. It can be organized from any city in Serbia. If there occurs a change on the monetary market, commodity market and services, if there are not enough travelers, the organizer retains the right to correct the price, change or cancel the program at least 3 days before the beginning of the program. If you need to cancel the tour for any reason up to 24 hours before the scheduled start time, we will refund 100% of the paid amount, no questions asked.
The default language for the tour is English, but upon request, we can also provide the tour in Russian, German, French, Spanish, and, of course, Serbian – subject to availability.
According to the Serbian Law on Tourism (Article 79), for one-day excursions (trips shorter than 24 hours), protection is not provided in terms of travel guarantee.
The organizer of the trip is travel agency Nature Travel Office, licence number OTP 38/2025 issued by the Business Register Agency as of May 06, 2025. Nature Travel Office is insured by an insurance policy against responsibility for travel agencies in case of insolvency and liability in case of damage to the traveller, number 30000058078, by the insurer MILENIJUM OSIGURANJE ADO Belgrade. The policy is valid from April 01, 2026 to April 01, 2027. In this program, travel agency Nature Travel Office applies their general terms and conditions of traveling, which are included in signing up for the trip.
