In winter, Stara Planina Mountain becomes a land of silence, snow, and untouched nature. Vast slopes are covered in white, the air is crisp and clear, and the landscapes radiate calm and raw beauty. This tour is designed for those looking for a short escape from everyday life and a relaxed day in nature, without rush or excessive effort. Tour plan:
Departure in front of the “Čair” Sports Hall in Niš (ticket office area) at 07:30 a.m. Drive via the highway to Pirot and further into the heart of Stara Planina. Passing through the picturesque villages of Stara, Rsovci, and Visočka Ržana, we arrive at the village of Rosomač, where the hike to Rosomački Peak, locally known as Kukla Peak, begins. The view from the top is truly unforgettable. On the way back, we visit Slavinjsko Grlo Gorge, a unique natural phenomenon where cascades of water flow from one stone basin into another. The journey continues to the weekend settlement of Vrelo, where we visit the extraordinary Jelovičko Spring, a rare and almost surreal natural attraction. After all activities, there will be a coffee break at the “Vrelo” café, hosted by our local friends. Return to Niš in the evening hours. End of program.

Sturdy sneakers or hiking boots, a few pairs of socks, T-shirts, a sweatshirt, and a hooded waterproof jacket. Don’t forget spare clothes and shoes, sunglasses, a cap, and sunscreen. It is also a good idea to pack some energy bars, snacks, refreshing beverages, and plenty of water. Put everything into a small backpack for convenience.
A 50% advance payment of the total arrangement price is required at the time of booking. The remaining amount must be paid no later than 20 days before the start of the trip (with the option of installment payments). This program is based on a minimum of 2 registered participants. In case of changes in the monetary market (or the market of goods and services) or an insufficient number of registered participants, the tour organizer reserves the right to adjust prices, modify the program, or cancel the trip no later than 5 days before the scheduled departure.

Nature Travel Office is insured by an insurance policy against responsibility for travel agencies in case of insolvency and liability in case of damage to the traveller, number 30000049351, by the insurer MILENIJUM OSIGURANJE ADO Belgrade. The policy is valid from April 01, 2025 to April 01, 2026. In this program, travel agency Nature Travel Office applies their general terms and conditions of traveling, which are included in signing up for the trip.
