Suva Mountain is a mountain in Southeast Serbia, 45 km long and 15 km wide. Geologically and geographically, it belongs to the Carpatho-Balkan mountain belt. Suva Mountain is a massif with extraordinary forms of karst relief, a treasury of sediments of different age and rich in fossil flora; a unique phytocoenosis and forest ecosystem, with 1 261 plant species. According to the national law, it was declared a nature reserve and a geoheritage site in Serbia.
Suva planina nalazi se u jugoistočnoj Srbiji, u blizini Niša i Niške Banje, i pripada karpatsko-balkanskoj grupi planina. Masiv se pruža pravcem severozapad–jugoistok, u dužini od približno 45 kilometara i širini od oko 15 kilometara.
Prepoznatljiva je po izraženom kraškom reljefu, šumama i otvorenim grebenima sa širokim pogledima na okolne planine. Njeno prirodno bogatstvo zaštićeno je u okviru Specijalnog rezervata prirode „Suva planina“.
Najviši vrh je Trem, na 1.810 metara nadmorske visine. Do njega vodi staza sa Bojaninih voda preko prevoja Devojački grob, koja povezuje šumski deo uspona sa otvorenim planinskim predelima.
Tour plan - Itinerary:
We meet in front of the hotel and depart at 08:00 AM. Taking a regional road, we travel for about an hour to Bojanine Vode (Bojana’s Springs), a plato at an elevation of 864 m. The ascend lasts approximately four hours from Bojana’s Springs, over the saddle named Devojački grob (Maiden’s Grave) to Trem, the highest peak. Rest at the top. If the visibility is good, the view reaches Bulgaria, Macedonia, Kosovo and Metohia. The ascent of Trem is known as one of the most beautiful and challenging ascends in Serbia. We return by the same track to Bojana’s Springs and then to Niš. We arrive in Niš late in the evening.
TRACK PROFILE: Bojanine vode 850 m – the saddle Devojački grob 1311 m – the peak Trem 1810 m; Total track length: 15 km. Total ascent: 1000 m.
Sneakers or climbing shoes, a few pairs of socks, T-shirts, a hooded waterproof parka, sweatshirt, spare pants, sun glasses, a cap, suntan cream. It’s also recommended to take candy bars, nibbles, refreshing beverages and water. Put everything into a small backpack.
In cash, up to 7 days before departure, or in instalments – first instalment 50% when you sign up, the rest next month by cheque. This program is composed for 8 travelers. In case of changes on the money market (or the goods and services market), or in case of insufficient number of travelers signed on, the organizer has a right to correct prices, change the program, or cancel the trip at the latest 5 days before the start of the trip.

NAPOMENE
Program je moguće organizovati sa polaskom iz različitih gradova Srbije ili regiona. Jednodnevna realizacija procenjuje se prema udaljenosti mesta polaska, dok za udaljenije kolektive možemo organizovati dolazak prethodnog dana i noćenje.
Za učešće su potrebni odgovarajuća planinarska obuća, odeća prilagođena vremenskim uslovima, ranac, dovoljna količina vode i hrana za celodnevni boravak na planini. Detaljan spisak opreme dostavljamo pre putovanja.
Uspon zahteva dobru fizičku spremnost i mogućnost višesatnog kretanja uzbrdo i nizbrdo po neravnom terenu. Prethodno planinarsko iskustvo je poželjno.
Za kolektive sa različitim nivoima fizičke spremnosti moguće je unapred dogovoriti kraću alternativnu rutu uz posebnu pratnju vodiča.
Realizacija uspona i dolazak na vrh zavise od vremenskih uslova, stanja staze i mogućnosti grupe. Vodiči po potrebi prilagođavaju trasu i satnicu.

Nature Travel Office is insured by an insurance policy against responsibility for travel agencies in case of insolvency and liability in case of damage to the traveller, number 30000058078, by the insurer MILENIJUM OSIGURANJE ADO Belgrade. The policy is valid from April 01, 2026 to April 01, 2027. In this program, travel agency Nature Travel Office applies their general terms and conditions of traveling, which are included in signing up for the trip.
