What’s the best way to get to Montenegro?
The tour starts and ends in Podgorica. While the standard tour starts and ends in Podgorica, with airport transfers to and from Podgorica International Airport included, we can also arrange the same tour starting from nearby airports such as Tivat, Dubrovnik, or Tirana – depending on your travel preferences.
What is the physical fitness level required for this tour?
This program is designed for active individuals with a moderate to high level of physical fitness. Activities such as mountain hiking, canyoning, and kayaking require stamina, balance, and comfort with outdoor environments. Previous experience is helpful, but not always necessary — our professional guides will provide all instructions and support.
Do I need prior experience in canyoning, kayaking, or mountaineering?
Not necessarily. While prior experience is an advantage, the tour is guided by certified professionals who will give you the necessary training and support on-site. However, a good physical condition and comfort in water and heights are essential.
What should I pack for this trip?
We recommend comfortable and layered outdoor clothing, hiking shoes, swimwear, sun protection (hat, sunglasses, sunscreen), a reusable water bottle, a small backpack for daily activities, and personal hygiene items. All technical equipment (helmets, harnesses, life jackets, wetsuits, etc.) for kayaking, canyoning, and hiking will be provided by us. All participants will receive a detailed packing list before the trip.
Do you have solo travellers on your tours?
Solo travellers are very welcome on our tours and often join to meet and explore with like-minded adventurers—many of whom go on to form lasting friendships. We aim to create a relaxed and sociable atmosphere that helps the group connect throughout the journey.
Solo travellers will be paired with another solo traveller of the same gender, or may opt for a private room by paying a single supplement. If you would prefer a room to yourself, please let us know in advance and we’ll do our best to accommodate your request. Please note that an additional fee may apply for single occupancy.
Are meals included in the price?
Yes. The price includes five half-board meals (breakfast and dinner), as well as a lunch pack during the kayak tour. Additional meals (lunches, snacks, drinks) are at your own expense, unless otherwise stated in the itinerary.
Is travel insurance required?
Yes. All participants are required to have international health insurance with additional coverage for extreme sports (mountaineering, canyoning, kayaking). This is important for your own safety and peace of mind.
How many people will be in the group?
Group sizes typically range from 6 to 12 participants. We keep our groups small to ensure a personal experience, better safety, and more direct interaction with guides and nature.
Is the zip line over Tara Canyon included?
The zip line activity on Day 1 is optional and not included in the tour price. If arrival times allow, you’ll be able to participate at an additional cost of approximately 20 EUR per person.
Will I have access to phone signal or internet during the tour?
Most areas we visit have mobile signal, but there may be occasional short-term outages in remote mountainous or canyon areas. Wi-Fi is available at most accommodations.
Is the itinerary flexible?
While we aim to follow the planned program, the itinerary may be adjusted due to weather conditions or the group’s overall condition. Any changes will be communicated in advance and made with safety in mind.
What happens in case of bad weather?
Your safety is our top priority. In case of unfavorable weather conditions such as unmelted snow, heavy rain, strong winds, or storms, certain activities, especially summit hikes, may become unsafe. This is particularly true for the ascent to Bobotov Kuk. The guide will assess the situation and, if needed, adjust the itinerary. In such cases, we will either hike as far as conditions allow or offer a safer alternative route (such as Savin Kuk – 2313 m).
Can dietary restrictions be accommodated?
Yes, please inform us in advance if you have any dietary restrictions (vegetarian, gluten-free, allergies, etc.), and we will do our best to accommodate your needs.
How much cash should I bring?
While most places accept cards, it’s good to have some cash (EUR) for snacks, souvenirs, or tips. Optional activities (like the zip line) and personal expenses are not included in the tour price.
Do I need to tip?
Tips are a common reward for service staff in the Balkan countries. For a restaurant meal, you can tip around 10-15% if tip is not included in the bill.
Your tour guide and driver will be especially appreciative and honored with this kind of traditional gratitude at the end of your tour.
We are committed to ensuring that your experience is unforgettable, safe, and filled with adventure.
Our goal is to provide you with the opportunity to explore some of the most beautiful and remote areas of Montenegro while embracing its diverse landscapes and rich culture.
