A simple yet thrilling adventure at the foothills of Kukavica Mountain, set in the untouched nature of the Porečje region. Experience abseiling, canyoning, and explore the cultural and historical treasures of this unique southern Serbian landscape.
The geographical region of Porečje encompasses the middle and lower course of the Veternica River, a left tributary of the South Morava. In addition to this section, Porečje also includes the valleys of Veternica’s tributaries: Sušica, Nakrivanjka, Vučjanka, Gorinka, Brzanka, and Bukoglavčanka, all of which originate from the northern slopes of Kukavica Mountain. The highest peak in the region is Vlaina (1,441 m), while its main administrative center is the town of Vučje.

Departure from Niš in front of the “Čair” sports hall (at the ticket office) at 08:00 a.m. We take the highway to Leskovac and continue to Vučje, a small town at the foot of Kukavica Mountain and home to the Vučje Hydroelectric Power Plant, built in 1903. Remarkably, the plant is still operational today, with machinery over 100 years old. The Vučjanka River, on its way to Vučje, carves a two-kilometer-long canyon in its final stretch. With a 300-meter descent over this distance, the canyon is filled with waterfalls, cascades, and natural pools. The most impressive among them are Đoka’s Pools. With the support of our team and the right equipment, this canyoning adventure will be an unforgettable experience. We gear up with wetsuits and boots, put on helmets and harnesses, and right at the entrance, we begin our descent—rappelling down waterfalls, squeezing through rock formations, and swimming in crystal-clear pools. After completing the adventure, we return to Niš in the evening. End of the program.

Sneakers or climbing shoes, a swimsuit, a towel, backup clothes, and, most importantly, a good mood! It’s also recommended to bring energy bars, snacks, refreshing drinks, and plenty of water. Pack everything into a small backpack.
A 50% advance payment of the total arrangement price is required at the time of booking. The remaining amount must be paid no later than 20 days before the start of the trip (with the option of installment payments). This program is based on a minimum of 7 registered participants. In case of changes in the monetary market (or the market of goods and services) or an insufficient number of registered participants, the tour organizer reserves the right to adjust prices, modify the program, or cancel the trip no later than 5 days before the scheduled departure.
According to the Serbian Law on Tourism (Article 79), for one-day excursions (trips shorter than 24 hours), protection is not provided in terms of travel guarantee.
The organizer of the trip is travel agency Nature Travel Office, licence number OTP 38/2025 issued by the Business Register Agency as of May 06, 2025. Nature Travel Office is insured by an insurance policy against responsibility for travel agencies in case of insolvency and liability in case of damage to the traveller, number 30000058078, by the insurer MILENIJUM OSIGURANJE ADO Belgrade. The policy is valid from April 01, 2026 to April 01, 2027. In this program, travel agency Nature Travel Office applies their general terms and conditions of traveling, which are included in signing up for the trip.
