Mount Olympus – a unique, authentic, symbol of Greece. Olympus is the mountain where, according to Greek mythology, the gods lived. The highest peak of the mountain is Mytikas, with its 2,918 meters. On this mountain there are 46 peaks higher than 2000 meters. Olympus Mountain is known for its rich flora, with about 1,500 plant species, of which 23 are endemic. Olympus is the highest and most beautiful Greek mountain that represents untouched nature, and since 1983 it has been under the protection of UNESCO, and the mountain has the status of a national park.
Tour plan:
Departure from Belgrade at 04:00 a.m. Travel through Macedonia with stops along the way for rest and border formalities. Arrival in Litochoro at the afternoon. A short break. Transfer to Prionia, located at 1050 metres above the sea level, from where we start the climb. After three hours of hiking, we arrive at the plateau in front of the “Spilios Agapitos” mountain hut. Accommodation in the mountain hut or in tents on the plateau. Dinner. Overnight stay.
Waking up early. After breakfast, we start to climb. We take an easy path from the mountain hut, through the forest, to Skala, at 2863 m above sea level. Continuation of the ascent along the demanding path to the highest peak of Mount Olympus, Mytikas 2918 m above sea level. Pause at the top. Return to Skala and climb to the Skolio peak, 2911 m above sea level. Return along the same path to the mountain hut and further to Prionia. Return to Litochoro. Overnight in a private accommodation.
Breakfast. Option 1: Tour of the Dion Archaeological Park and Orlias Waterfall in the Olympus National Park. Option 2: Free time on the beach. Return to Serbia in the afternoon. Arrival in Niš/Belgrade in the late evening. The end of the program.

High-top sneakers or hiking shoes, multiple pairs of socks, short sleeved t-shirts, a lightweight jacket with a hoodie (waterproof if possible), a sweatshirt, a back-up pair of pants, sunglasses, a hat, sunscreen, swimming suit, towel. If you want, you can bring candy or sweets, snacks, water and refreshments. Put everything into a small backpack.
The mountain hut “Spilios Agapitos” is located at 2000 meters above sea level and is ideal as a base for our adventure. It is possible to order food and drinks in the hut.
A 50% advance payment of the total arrangement price is required at the time of booking. The remaining amount must be paid no later than 20 days before the start of the trip (with the option of installment payments). This program is based on a minimum of 8 registered participants. In case of changes in the monetary market (or the market of goods and services) or an insufficient number of registered participants, the tour organizer reserves the right to adjust prices, modify the program, or cancel the trip no later than 5 days before the scheduled departure.
For departures from Belgrade, an additional fee of 30€ per person (in RSD equivalent) applies. Transportation from Belgrade is available for groups of at least six participants. The organizer reserves the right to modify the itinerary in case of unforeseen circumstances, with notice given no later than two days before departure.
The organizer of the trip is travel agency Nature Travel Office, licence number OTP 38/2025 issued by the Business Register Agency as of May 06, 2025. Nature Travel Office is insured by an insurance policy against responsibility for travel agencies in case of insolvency and liability in case of damage to the traveller, number 30000058078, by the insurer MILENIJUM OSIGURANJE ADO Belgrade. The policy is valid from April 01, 2026 to April 01, 2027. In this program, travel agency Nature Travel Office applies their general terms and conditions of traveling, which are included in signing up for the trip.
