Ostala je pri\u010da da se\u00a0 zanosna nimfa, ba\u0161 ovde, upustila u ljubavnu vezu sa bogom Heliosom. Po gr\u010dkoj mitilogiji Helios je za\u0161titnik Rodosa. Ostrvu je darovao blagorodne zrake, umivao ga talasima svoje svetosti, ukrasio\u00a0 plavetnilom, daju\u0107i mu, usput, svoju snagu i sjaj. Kao takav Rodos je izrastao u biser Dodekada s fascinantnom prirodom i neprocenjivim\u00a0 bogatstvom spomenika kao dokazom ljudske mo\u0107i i duha&#8230; Rodos, danas, \u017eivi dva sasvim razli\u010dita \u017eivota: \u017eivot buke i vreve u letnjoj sezoni i spokojan porodi\u010dni \u017eivot u zimskim meseceima. U dana\u0161nje vreme malo ko se na ostrvu bavi tradicionalnim zanimanjima: ribolovom, p\u010delarstvom ili sto\u010darstvom. Jo\u0161 manje su \u017eene s Rodosa sa\u010duvale ono po \u010demu su bile nekada poznate \u2013 tkanje i vez.
