Atinjani ga dobro poznaju i ljubomorno \u010duvaju od turista kojih je sve vi\u0161e. Egina je udaljena nekih sat i po vo\u017enje trajektom od atinske luke Pirej, odnosno 40-ak kilometara od centra Atine vazdu\u0161nom linijom. \u201eUsidrena\u201c je u sredi\u0161njem delu Saronskog zaliva, poznatog i kao Eginski. Vulkansko, ali vrlo plodno zemlji\u0161te obja\u0161njenje je za\u0161to je Egina i danas gusto naseljena. Pored prelepih pla\u017ea, atrakcija za turiste su i zanimljivi ostaci drevne istorije me\u0111u kojima se izdvaja hram boginje Afeje.Od pravoslavnih svetinja, lepotom i zna\u010dajem isti\u010de se \u010duveni manastir Svetog Nektarija, ta\u010dnije kompleks koji \u010dine \u017eenski manastir posve\u0107en Svetoj Trojici i novo zdanje manastira posve\u0107enog voljenom svetitelju.<\/p>\n<p>Ukoliko \u017eelite da bolje upoznate ostrvo najjeftinija opcija je da iskoristite blagodeti lokalnog autobusa, odnosno da to u\u010dinite eventulano taksijem ili rentiranjem vozila.
