Nekad Akantos, a kasnije Jerisos je ribarsko mesto, sa svojih 3500 stanovnika, koje je doskora bilo poznato po najve\u0107em ulovu riba i zanatskoj, tradicionalnoj izradi brodi\u0107a od borovine. Jerisos, udaljen od Soluna oko 120 km,\u00a0je centar mnogih kulturnih manifestacija kao \u0161to su proslava u crkvi Svetog Pavla 29. juna i Proroka Ilije 20. jula. Velika turisti\u010dka atrakcija je duga \u010dista pla\u017ea zlatnog peska sa Plavom Zastavom koja se ne\u017eno spu\u0161ta u more. Postoje kafi\u0107i i taverne iza pla\u017ee, \u0161etali\u0161te i travnate oblasti sa klupama i hladom.
