Ovaj kraj je kolevka brojnih mitova \u2013 od Heraklovih podviga do legendarne Sparte, \u010diji duh discipline i hrabrosti i danas intrigira posetioce. Uske planinske staze vode do skrivenih manastira koji vise nad stenama, kao da prkose vremenu. Grad Nafplio, sa svojim venecijanskim \u0161armom, \u010desto se opisuje kao jedan od najlep\u0161ih gr\u010dkih gradova. Olimpija, mesto ro\u0111enja Olimpijskih igara, pru\u017ea poseban ose\u0107aj povezanosti sa drevnim svetom. Peloponez je tako\u0111e raj za ljubitelje pla\u017ea \u2013 od zlatnih dina Elafonisos-a do tirkiznih uvala oko Kalamate. Miris maslina i borova ispunjava vazduh dok se prolazi kroz sela u kojima vreme sporije te\u010de. Tradicionalna kuhinja ovde je jednostavna, ali izuzetno ukusna, sa maslinovim uljem koje se smatra jednim od najboljih u Gr\u010dkoj. Iako miran i opu\u0161ten, Peloponez krije neiscrpnu energiju istorije, prirode i legende.
