Ohrid is a magnificent city in the beautiful south-western part of Macedonia and the leading summer tourist centre of the country. Ohrid is the soul of the Balkans and, certainly, the cradle of Slavic literacy. It is located on the shore of Ohrid Lake, about 170 km from Skopje, the capital of Macedonia.
