As part of the extensive Dinaric mountain system, stretching from Slovenia to Albania over approximately 650 km, the Prokletije represent the pinnacle of high-mountain landscapes in the region: sharp ridges, deep valleys, glacial lakes, and rugged, hard-to-reach terrain make them a true challenge even for experienced mountaineers.
