Macedonia – located between Šar and Rhodope Mountains, intersected by fertile valleys of the Black Drim River and valleys adorned with beautiful lakes – Prespa, Dojran and Ohrid, one of the oldest lakes on the planet.

Ohrid is a magnificent city in the beautiful south-western part of Macedonia and the leading summer tourist centre of the country. Ohrid is the soul of the Balkans and, certainly, the cradle of Slavic literacy. It is located on the shore of Ohrid Lake, about 170 km from Skopje, the capital of Macedonia. Thanks to its outstanding natural beauty, rich historical and cultural heritage, Ohrid has been part of the UNESCO world cultural heritage since 1979.

Tour plan - Itinerary:

Departure at 08:00 a.m. in front of the hotel in Niš. Driving through Serbia and North Macedonia with occasional breaks for rest and border formalities.

Arrival in Malo Nagoričano, a village in the immediate vicinity of which there is a memorial ossuary and the monumental memorial monument Zebrnjak, dedicated to the heroes of the Battle of Kumanovo. Tour of the monument accompanied by a local guide.

The trip continues to Skopje. Lunch break in a traditional restaurant. Arrival in Ohrid in the evening. Accommodation in guesthouse type villas. Dinner. Overnight stay.

Breakfast. Transfer to the Saint Naum Monastery – tour of the monastery and the source of the Black Drim River. Lunch break. Panoramic tour of the Museum on the water. Return to Ohrid with a tour of UNESCO sights – the churches of Saint Panteleimon, Saint John Kaneo, Church of Saint Sophia, Church of the Virgin Perivlepta… Visit to the green market and the filigree workshop that produces the famous Ohrid pearl in the traditional way. Dinner in one of the traditional restaurants. Return to our accommodation. Overnight stay.

After breakfast, a tour of Samuel’s fortress. Driving to Serbia with stops along the way for rest and lunch. Arrival in Nis in the evening. End of the program.

Cash, up to 7 days before departure, or in instalments – the first instalment is 50% upon registration, the rest of the following month by depositing a check in dinar equivalent at the mid-rate of the National Bank of Serbia on the day of payment. This program was made on the basis of 7 registered passengers. In the event of changes in the monetary market (or the market of goods and services) or an insufficient number of registered passengers, the travel organizer reserves the right to correct prices, change the program or cancel the trip no later than 5 days before the start of the trip.

For departure from Belgrade, additional payment of 20 EUR per person should be done. The payment is made in RSD equivalent. The organizer reserves the right to change the plan and program in case of unforeseen circumstances.
