 Macedonia – located between Šar and Rhodope Mountains, intersected by fertile valleys of the Black Drim River and valleys adorned with beautiful lakes – Prespa, Dojran and Ohrid, one of the oldest lakes on the planet.

Ohrid is a magnificent city in the beautiful south-western part of Macedonia and the leading summer tourist centre of the country. Ohrid is the soul of the Balkans and, certainly, the cradle of Slavic literacy. It is located on the shore of Ohrid Lake, about 170 km from Skopje, the capital of Macedonia. Thanks to its outstanding natural beauty, rich historical and cultural heritage, Ohrid has been part of the UNESCO world cultural heritage since 1979.

Tour plan - Itinerary:

Departure in front of the hotel in Niš at 1 p.m. Driving through Serbia, Macedonia and Greece with stops along the way for border formalities to the ski centre of Voras. Accommodation in private houses in the village at the foot of the mountain. Dinner. Overnight stay.

Breakfast. Transfer to the plateau of the Voras ski centre at 2407 m above sea level, from where we begin the ascent to Kajmakčalan peak (2521 m). The trail, with a total length of 8 km and 470 meters elevation differences, belongs to the easier hiking tours. After hiking, we continue to the Loutraki Spa and its thermal springs. Return to our accommodation. Dinner. Overnight stay.

Breakfast. Transfer to Bitola. Bitola is one of the most important cultural, economic and administrative centres of North Macedonia. Numerous foreign diplomatic missions are located in it. City tour with a break for lunch. The trip continues to Ohrid with a visit to the Saint Naum monastery and the source of the Black Drim River. Also, on the way to Ohrid, we will jump to Albania and see the city of Podgradec, which is located on the Albanian side of the Orhid Lake. Arrival in Ohrid. Accommodation. Dinner. Overnight stay.

Breakfast. Transfer to the Galičica National Park at 1600 m above sea level. A three-hour walking tour to the Magaro peak, 2254 m above sea level, the highest peak of Galičica. Lunch in the nature. The view from the top of Ohrid and Prespa Lakes is unforgettable. The circular tour, with a total length of 9 km, requires an average level of physical fitness. Return to Ohrid with a tour of UNESCO sights – the churches of Saint Panteleimon, Saint John Kaneo, Church of Saint Sophia, Church of the Virgin Perivlepta… Dinner in one of the traditional restaurants. Overnight stay.

Breakfast. Travel to Vevčani, an authentic, picturesque village with ancient architecture and famous springs surrounded by untouched nature on the slopes of Jablanica Mountain. Lunch break. Continuation of the road to the village of Malo Nagoričane, in the immediate vicinity of which there is a memorial ossuary and the monumental memorial monument Zebrnjak, dedicated to the heroes of the Battle of Kumanovo. Tour of the monument accompanied by a local guide. Departure to Niš/Belgrade. Arrival in Niš/Belgrade in the evening. The end of the program.

Sneakers, a few pairs of socks, T-shirts, a hooded waterproof parka, sweatshirt, back up clothes and shoes, sunglasses, a cap, suntan cream, a swimming suit, a towel. It is also recommended to take candy bars, nibbles, refreshing beverages and water. Put everything into a small backpack.

In private accommodation in 1/2, 1/3 and 1/4 rooms. In both accommodations where we are staying, it is possible to use the half-board service at a price of 3 EUR for breakfast, 5 EUR for dinner, with prior notice.

Cash: cash, up to 7 days before departure, or in instalments – the first instalment is 50% upon registration, the rest of the following month by depositing a check in dinar equivalent at the mid-rate of the National Bank of Serbia on the day of payment. This program was made on the basis of 7 registered passengers. In the event of changes in the monetary market (or the market of goods and services) or an insufficient number of registered passengers, the travel organizer reserves the right to correct prices, change the program or cancel the trip no later than 5 days before the start of the trip.

For departure from Belgrade, an additional payment of 20 EUR per person should be done. Payment is made in RSD equivalent. The organizer reserves the right to change the plan and program in case of unforeseen circumstances.

The organizer of the trip is travel agency Lord Travel, licence number OTP 211/2021-A issued by the Business Register Agency as of 30 November 2021. Lord Travel is insured by an insurance policy against responsibility for travel agencies in case of insolvency and liability in case of damage to the traveller, number 2700924, by the insurer KOMPANIJA DUNAV OSIGURANJE ADO Belgrade. The policy is valid from 01 October 2021 to 01 October 2022. In this program, travel agency Lord Travel applies their general terms and conditions of traveling, which are included in signing up for the trip.

According to the Serbian Law on Tourism (Article 79), for one-day excursions (trips shorter than 24 hours), protection is not provided in terms of travel guarantee.
